Throughout the iCHRIS system there are a large number of file-validated or table-validated fields which rely on the user to select an appropriate code from a picklist.
We have noticed two issues:
- File-validated fields show inactive codes after the expiry date against that code has passed. The user has to click on “Current Only” to hide these entries,
- In some instances, table-validated fields continue to show inactive codes after the expiry date against that code has passed. This is not throughout the entire application, but Frontier have previously confirmed that some modules (such as ERM) are currently not set up to use 'Current only' tag when getting table entries.
I would like to submit an enhancement idea as follows:
- For file-validated fields, the ‘Current Only’ button should always be ON by default – and the user has to turn it off to see inactive entries
- For the affected modules, table-validated fields should only show active codes as per the expiry dates configured in TAB
Expected Benefits
I believe this is a high priority and will give many benefits to all clients. We have already started moving away from file-validated fields, since showing inactive codes by default is very confusing to users.
happy to support this. Be also great to include this option on all TAB validated fields that are part of an index - looking at you LVR LVE GRP. Also, be great if the TAB EXPIRY DATE could be included as a "Show Fields" option, much like "Translation"
thanks for raising! i too have raised this!
