We would like to be able to report over the Maximum Days and Maximum Hours fields in LVE so that we can audit leave records where staff have manipulated the Days/Hours Taken fields when applying for leave. There is currently no way to check if an employee record has had the values taken changed against the dates applied for other than linking in excel leave records vs rosters vs HDT vs POS - an extremely involved process especially as we are not a Monday to Friday business model. We consistently have employees applying for 1 day of leave but using 2 dates in their leave request even though we have changed the label of the last day of leave to reflect it is the last day, not the return day.
Reason for Suggestion
Our employees change the "taken" values incorrectly, which can cause incorrect leave balances/liability but this also causes incorrect TIM entries when ALA is processed. ALA uses the values according to the dates rather than the taken values so we then need to remove/adjust the TIM entries created from ALA. By being able to report over this field, we can run a regular audit to correct before the issue rather than after.
Expected Benefits
This allows us to audit/monitor where an employee is changing the 'taken' values and to correct where needed. Stops the potential for employees to be paid too much leave/retain an inaccurate leave balance. Stops for the need to adjust during payroll processing.
