Reporting - Questions to ask

  • Does your reporting function consider security profiles when users run reports, e.g., omitting salary data for users not permitted to see it when running a generic report?
  • Can you extract all the data you require?
  • Are reports available in multiple file formats, e.g., .xlsx, .pdf or .xml?
  • Can you create custom reports? Can you create them on demand, or do you need external assistance?
  • Can you produce a payroll audit showing new starts, terms, rate changes, etc?
  • Can you provide custom report creation and access to users via self-service?
