We are interested in learning if any iChris / Chris21 clients have developed their own solutions to automate tailored audit reports for periodic checks in specific scenarios.
Our goal is to establish a series of audit checks for scenarios such as retrospective manipulation of Salary or Position records; or employee profile updated by users themselves.
Currently, we can generate a full audit report from ADP and manually filter it to identify these scenarios. However, we face challenges in automating this process. The primary issue is that ADP reports can only be exported in XML format, not in XLSX or CSV formats, which limits our ability to automate the output and further analyze it. We cannot utilize report designer reports to extract data from ADD form either, as the data is in an unreadable format.
We would greatly appreciate any insights or solutions that other clients have implemented to address similar challenges.
We have our ADP scheduled to run on the 1st of the month, every month. This will add a xml file to your report output that you can then export to the spreadsheet template for ADP which is in xlsx form. The only issue is it is output to the report output of the user who schedules the process - or you can run it manually directly to spreadsheet/ADP xml template from the ADP screen.
Thanks for your input, much appreciated! That's exactly the limitation we are trying to work around, which is why this request was raised.
While this report can be run manually and saved in spreadsheet format, it cannot be automated without an additional tool to flatten the nested XML.
