Frontier Software answers cry for help
Manila, Philippines. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on the Philippines. The main island of Luzon is in a state of enhanced community quarantine.
For many urban families, the quarantine has prevented people with informal employment arrangements from working. Without income, they have little hope of providing food for themselves and their families, and an increased risk of contracting COVID-19.
Concordia Children’s Services (CCS) approached Frontier Software founder Michael Howard for help. CCS is a child welfare agency in Manila. They sought sponsorship to put together food packs for those children and families most at risk. Each pack contains rice, canned goods, noodles and bread. Four packs will sustain a family for one month.
“We were happy to assist Concordia Children’s Services”, said Michael. “These are very difficult times for so many families in the Philippines. Frontier Software is committed to supporting the wellbeing of our colleagues and community throughout this crisis and beyond”.
The contribution made by Frontier Software will help support over 120 at-risk children and their families. Marianne Lizette R. Our hearts are overflowing with joy and gratitude knowing that there are angels like you who willingly share their blessings.”
