This course provides an overview of the Employee and Manager Self Service functionality.

Pre-requisites

This course should be attended by persons who have previously attended (or have relevant experience):

  • Introduction and Navigation course
  • System Administration and Security
  • Customisation (recommended)

The course requires a basic knowledge of working with our system and understanding of chris system security as well as knowledge of Self Service requirements of your organisation.

 

Note, courses may be run in either ichris or chris21 - please check the course date to see which interface will be used.

  • Generate emails when data is added or changed

Managing workflow rules

  • Create workflow rules for employee requests
  • Set up email replies for workflows
  • Escalate requests

Setting up User Access

  • Understand security profiles
  • Create user account
  • Customise menu

Using Self Service

  • Log into Self Service
  • Submit and approve requests
  • View calendar pages, payslips and leave balances

Managing administrator interface

  • Access administrator interface
  • Configure Self Service using the administrator
  • Confirm administrator settings
